I recenty was able to buy an old Stacey. Stacey is a friend of Barbie from the MOD-era and was said to come from England. She wasn’t produced for a long time. I think she was produced from 1968 until 1970. My new Stacey is wearing the outfit “Bouncy Flouncy”. I couldn’t resist of doing an extended photo shooting. And here is the result.

Time for Cool & Crimp Skipper and Courtney
This time I would like to introduce Cool & Crimp Skipper and Courtney. They are from 1993. I’m always surprised when I discover fashion trends from the past. The overalls are great. They remind me to the 1990s. I also can remember the dummies. I had a lot of them myself. I can’t believe this was a trend almost 20 years ago.
Here comes Asha!!!
Birthday presents
Today I’ d like to show you my birthday presents. I got the Minang Barbie doll from my boyfriend and the Moja Barbie doll. The Minang Barbie doll was made for the Indonesian market and she’s hard to find in Europe. The box says that she wears a special outfit worn by the women of Sumatera. The doll comes with two minature plates.
Luckily I was able to find the Moja Barbie doll, too. She had been on my wish list for at least 10 years. The Designer Byron Lars created her in 2001. I always liked her but she’s not very often to find. She has a very crazy hairdo from which I thought it was made from the dolls braids.
Dance Club Kayla & Devon (US-Playline)
In the recent months I was able to find two rare friends of Barbie doll. They are called Devon and Kayla. They were only made for the US-market and never available in Germany. The Dance Club series was produced in 1989. The clothes may be a bit old fashioned but I think they express the feeling from then. I like them because the colours of the clothes are shrill and very bright. This is the first time that the triangle earrings and ring are introduced to the market. I thought that they were used the first time with the very popular Totally Hair Barbie series but obviously they were already available in 1989.
Noir et Blanc Barbie
Today I wanna show you another one of my favorite Barbie dolls. She’ s called Noir et Blanc Barbie. In 2003 when she was released, she was a Barbie Club exclusive. Fortunately she was also availabe at several Barbie dealers and so I got the chance to buy her. I like her extraordinary black and white dress. She also wears a black and a white shoe. I wish more such extraordinary Barbie dolls would be available today.
Gold Jubilee Barbie
Finally after at least 10 years I was able to find the Gold Jubilee Barbie in Europe. She was made for the 35th Anniversary of Barbie in 1994. Only 7000 Barbie dolls were made for the market. Back then she was a very limited doll. She looks very typical for a Barbie doll for the 1990s dolls. She has rooted eyelashes and a very opulent dress. She also has a very extraoridinary box. I’m so happy to have her in my collection now.
Barbie & the Sensations (aka in Europe and Canada as Barbie & the BiBops)
Today I wanna show you the two Barbie & the Sensations dolls that I have in my collection. Two years ago I found the Belinda doll from that series in nrfb condition. In January 2012 I bought the Bobsy doll in nrfb condition. She arrived here by the begin of march 2012. At the moment she is one of my latest dolls. Three dolls are still missing to finish this series.
Cut & Style Barbie ( also known as Superschnitt Barbie)
Today I wanna show you my four Cut & Style Barbies fom 1994. The dolls were made for the Playline-market but nowadays collectors are also interested in them. Many of them had them in their childhood. I also belong to the ones who had one of them in their childhood. Today I like all of them. Each one is special in her own way but earlier I was only interested in the blonde Barbie doll with the pink dress. I’m happy to have the whole series.
